Cataracts - The majority
of cataracts are caused by ageing of the eye. Quite often, some degree
of cataract happens to all of us if we live long enough. Typically, though,
this may be noticed from 50-60 years and onwards. Certain other conditions
of the eye that cause inflammation (for example uveitis) and eye injury
might lead to cataracts occurring earlier in life. Other conditions affecting
your system as a whole, for example, diabetes are linked with a higher
risk of developing cataracts. Certain drugs, including steroids, may make
you more likely to develop cataracts early.
Glaucoma is a group
of diseases that can damage the eye's optic nerve and result in vision
loss and blindness. Glaucoma occurs when the normal fluid pressure inside
the eyes slowly rises.

Pat Scott-Tucker -
My sister is 84. Two and half years ago she started to suffer badly
with cataracts on her eyes. The specialist
said she would need an operation if they deteriorated any more, or
at worst she could even go blind. In October she started taking Zambroza
and at her last 6-month check up she was told that her eyes had stopped
deteriorating and had in fact slightly improved. She is now feeling
much brighter within herself and now only needs check ups every 9
months.’
